Alyson, belaying with style.

In the Belay Lesson you will learn to manage the rope in order to keep the climber safe (Belaying). Additionally, you will learn the proper knots, climbing commands, and harness safety checks. After taking the class and before your first time climbing, you will be required to take a belay test showing the staff that you have retained all the information and skills that are needed to ensure the climber’s safety. Once you have finished the class the instructor will recommend climbs for you throughout the gym, which you may climb for the remainder of the day. Taking this class and test will certify you to climb on your own during Stone Summit’s open hours.

Reservations are strongly recommended due to our class cap of 6 students per class. (Classes fill up fast!)
